- Full Arched Top: The case rises into one round arch that curves over from side to side and runs the full depth, and the two door frames follow it.
- Clear Tempered Glass Doors: Two hinged doors of clear tempered glass in slim wood frames, each divided by one cross rail into an arched upper pane and a lower pane.
- Three Shelves, Two Drawers: A shelf where the arch begins, a middle shelf that adjusts and lifts out, and a lower shelf over two full-width drawers with round wooden knobs and safety stops.
- One Slim Black Pull: A single matte black metal pull stands at the centre where the doors meet, the only hardware on the front apart from small exposed hinges at the outer edges.
- Splayed Mid-Century Legs: At each end a shaped wooden side frame turns down into two tapered legs that splay to the front and back; the legs are removable.

The story

Some things deserve a place where they can be seen but stay out of the dust: the good glasses, a few pieces of pottery, the books you return to. The Sorbier gives them that place behind two tall doors of clear glass, on three shelves that rise into a full round arch, with two drawers at the bottom for napkins, candles and whatever else should stay out of sight.
Its shape is simple and sure. The top curves over from side to side, the door frames follow the arch, and one wooden cross rail on each door lines up with the middle shelf. Below, shaped side frames turn down into four splayed, tapered legs, a mid-century touch that lifts the tall case off the floor and keeps it light against the wall.

The Sorbier is a tall glass-fronted cabinet under a round arch. Three details give it its character.
One Black Pull, Warm Wood Frames
A single slim matte black metal pull stands at the centre where the two glass doors meet. Around it the warm brown frames show a fine grain with a faint lighter fleck, and a cross rail runs level with the middle shelf.
An Arch in Glass and Wood
The case rises into a full round arch, and the two door frames follow it. Behind the clear tempered glass are three shelves, and at the bottom two full-width drawers with small round wooden knobs.
For the Dining or Living Room
At 37.5 inches wide and only 16 inches deep, it fits a narrow wall beside a dining table or a sofa, with glasses, ceramics and books behind the glass and napkins or candles in the drawers below.
