4.1 Care Guides

Leather:
Introduction: Welcome to our comprehensive guide on caring for your leather furniture! We know you've made an investment in luxury, and thus, we are here to help you ensure that your stylish statement pieces continue looking vibrant and feeling plush for years to come.

Step 1: Regular Dusting:
Ensure you dust your leather furniture regularly. We recommend once a week. Dust can be abrasive and can cause minor scratches that can drastically reduce the lifespan of your furniture.

Step 2: Use the Right Cleaning Products:
Avoid using all-purpose cleaning sprays, solvents, or any harsh chemicals on your leather furniture. Instead, opt for a good quality leather cleaning product. This will help to maintain the color and texture of your furniture.

Step 3: Condition your Furniture:
Just like our skin, leather requires moisturizing. Regular conditioning will keep your furniture soft, prevent cracking, and prolong its lifespan.

Step 4: Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat:
Too much exposure to sunlight or heat can damage leather, leading to faded color and cracks. Make sure you position your furniture away from windows or any heat source.

Step 5: Wipe Spills Immediately:
Don't let spills sit. Wipe them up as soon as you can with a dry cloth to avoid watermarks.

Step 6: Use Professional Cleaning Services:
For more stubborn stains or for an annual deep clean, consider employing a professional leather specialist. They have the right tools and expertise to make your furniture shine without causing any harm.

Remember, it's all about giving your leather furniture a little TLC. Follow these simple steps and you'll be able to enjoy the timeless elegance of your leather furniture for many years to come.

Marble:
Caring for Your Marble Furniture: A Comprehensive Guide

Marble furniture adds a touch of elegance and luxury to your home, but it requires special care to maintain its beauty. This guide will help you learn the best ways to care for your marble furniture, ensuring it remains as stunning as the day you bought it.

1. Regular Cleaning: Clean your marble furniture regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and grime. Never use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can scratch and damage the marble surface.
2. Immediate Spill Clean-Up: Marble is porous and can easily stain. Always blot spills immediately using a soft cloth or paper towel. Don't rub, as this can push the stain deeper into the marble.
3. Use of Coasters: Always use coasters under glasses, especially those containing citrus juices or alcohol, to prevent potential staining and etching.
4. Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep sharp objects away from your marble furniture to avoid scratches. Use protective mats or tablecloths if necessary.
5. Professional Polishing: Occasionally, you may need to have your marble professionally polished to restore its shine, especially if it becomes dull or gets scratched over time.
6. Regular Sealing: Marble is a porous stone and can easily absorb stains. Regular sealing can help protect it from damage. Experts recommend sealing marble furniture every 12-24 months.

Remember, each marble piece is unique, and what works for one might not work for another. Always test cleaning solutions and techniques in an inconspicuous area first to ensure it won't damage your furniture.
Caring for your marble furniture might require a little extra effort, but the beauty and elegance it adds to your home are well worth it. With the right care, your marble furniture can last a lifetime.

Solid and Veneered wood, Indoor

Caring for Your Wood Furniture: A Complete Guide
1. Dust Regularly - Keep your furniture dust-free with regular and gentle dusting. Use a soft cloth to avoid scratching the surface of your furniture.
2. Clean with Mild Soap - For regular cleaning, use a mild soap and warm water mix. Always wipe with the grain, and dry it thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water marks.
3. Avoid Direct Sunlight - Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade the color of your wood furniture. Consider using blinds or curtains to protect your furniture from direct sunlight.
4.Humidity Control - Wood expands and contracts with changes in humidity. Try to maintain a consistent indoor humidity level to prevent damage.
5. Use Coasters - Use coasters, place mats, and tablecloths to protect your wood furniture from heat and moisture.
6. Regular Polishing - Use a good quality polish to maintain the shine of your wood furniture. Avoid silicon-based polishes as they can soak into the grain and damage the wood.
7. Avoid Chemical Cleaners - Chemical cleaners can be too harsh for wood furniture and can strip off the finish. Always opt for mild, natural cleaners.
8.Regular Inspection - Regularly inspect your furniture for any signs of damage like warping, cracks, or pests. Early detection can save your furniture from major damages.

With proper care, your wood furniture can last a lifetime, becoming a part of your family's heirloom.

Teak Wood

Keeping your teak wood furniture in peak condition not only enhances its beauty but also extends its lifespan. Here are some care tips for your teak wood furniture:

1. Regular dusting: Dusting your teak furniture regularly prevents dust from settling into the grains of the wood. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to keep your furniture looking fresh and clean.
2. Avoid exposure to heat: Placing your teak furniture near radiators, heaters or in direct sunlight could cause the wood to dry out and crack. It’s best to keep your furniture in a shaded, cool area.
3. Routine cleaning: For basic cleaning, use warm soapy water and a soft brush once or twice a year to remove accumulated dirt. Make sure you rinse thoroughly and dry it with a clean cloth after.
4. Oil Treatment: Teak wood contains natural oils that make it resistant to pests and rot, but over time these can dry out. A yearly application of teak oil can help preserve the wood’s natural oils.
5. Cover or store indoors: If your teak furniture is likely to be exposed to the elements, consider using a breathable furniture cover or store it indoors to protect it.
6. Sanding: If your teak furniture becomes discolored or stains, a light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper can remove surface imperfections and restore the original color.

Remember, with a little care and attention, your teak wood furniture can last for generations. Protect your investment by following these simple steps.

Velvet

Velvet Furniture Care Guide

Velvet furniture adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any room. However, keeping it in top-notch condition requires a little extra care and attention.
1.Regular Cleaning: Velvet attracts dust, so regular light cleaning is essential. Gently run a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment over your velvet furniture once a week to keep it free from dust and dirt.
2. Spot Cleaning: If spills occur, immediately dab the area with a clean, dry white cloth. Avoid rubbing as it can damage the fabric. For stubborn stains, use a special velvet cleaner and follow the instructions carefully.
3. Avoid Exposure to Sunlight: Direct sunlight can fade the color of your velvet furniture. Always place it in a spot where it's not constantly exposed to sunlight.
4. Fluffing Cushions: Regularly fluff your velvet cushions to keep them from getting a crushed look. A soft brush can be used to restore the pile of the fabric.
5. Professional Care: For overall deep cleaning or major stains, it’s always best to call in professionals. They have the right tools and knowledge to handle delicate fabrics like velvet.

With the right care, your velvet furniture can stay plush and vibrant, making a beautiful statement in your home for years to come.

4.2 Accuracy of our photos

At our brand, every product image you see is meticulously crafted by skilled photographers under authentic home lighting conditions to bring out the true beauty of our products. We take great pains to ensure that the color, finish, and texture of our products are represented as accurately as possible. However, due to varying monitor or printer settings, the images may differ slightly.

Further, we wish to highlight that certain materials we use like solid wood, leather, and marble are natural and therefore, you may notice slight differences due to their inherent uniqueness. The product you receive could slightly differ from the photo you see, due to this natural variability. We often feature customer photos on our website - a true testament to how our products embellish real homes. Do note these photos are taken in environments that we cannot control and the colours might vary based on lighting conditions, the camera used, and any filters applied by the customer. For the most accurate representation of our products, we recommend our professionally shot studio images that can be found on our product description pages. Should you require assistance in selecting the perfect furniture for your space based on style, dimensions and color, please contact us <form link>. We're always thrilled to help you make the right choice!

4.3 Stain Resistance

Our unwavering commitment to limiting harsh additives means that most of our materials lack stain-resisting treatments. Thus, we can't assure the success of stain-resistant products like Scotchgard on our furniture. Do remember, applying these products cancels the material's warranty.

4.4 Leather

Nappa Leather Elegance Experience the undeniable charm of our Nappa leathers. These are full-grain leathers, untouched and unrefined, preserving the natural hallmarks of the hides. From the delicate insect nibbles to the distinctive stretch marks, every wrinkle, scar and color variation tells a tale of its own. Such inherent characteristics lend a unique character and charm to our full-grain, full aniline leather, enhancing its appeal. Celebrate these unique distinctions, as they are the testament to its perfect imperfections.

4.5 Regulatory

At Finn & Form, your safety is our top priority. To guarantee your well-being, we stick to the following principles:
● Each Finn & Form piece is meticulously tested for safety and durability. Our in-house assessments are buttressed by independent testing labs to guarantee our products offer maximum safety for your home and loved ones.
● We persistently strive to minimize hazardous materials in our items, in accordance with guidelines like California's Proposition 65. Further details can be found here.
● Any composite wood in our sofas, along with the fabric(s), are checked for formaldehyde emissions, and we insist they match the regulatory standards.
● While wood composites like MDF and plywood may contain minute formaldehyde traces, we ensure our products live up to all legal and regulatory consumer safety standards.
● Products imported may be inspected at the US Port. Any pest control treatment for such products adheres to U.S. customs laws.
● Foam, a non-natural product, is manufactured with harmless chemicals, and may contain trace fire retardant chemicals within the foam. These are, however, well within the standards and regulations for consumer safety.
● Currently, only a select few of our products need Prop 65 labels. We carry out tests on new products to verify compliance and determine the necessity for these warning labels on an individual basis.
● As a cardinal rule, we avoid introducing superfluous chemicals to our products during the manufacturing process.

4.6 Anti-Tip Information

At Finn & Form, ensuring your safety is our top priority, so we include a restraint bracket and installation guide with your order if the product you purchase poses a risk of tipping over. If you find that your order does not have a bracket or you've misplaced it, feel free to reach out to us.

Safety Considerations with Finn & Form

When it comes to organizing your belongings, the distribution of weight in your storage units is crucial. To maintain balance and minimize the risk of tipping, we encourage you not to open more than one drawer at the same time. We strongly advise storing heavy items like weights, hiking boots, bulky sweaters, or rock collections in the lowest drawers to anchor the furniture. On the other hand, lighter items such as feather pillows and delicate clothing should be stored in the upper drawers.

Many Finn & Form products with multiple drawers are now equipped with an anti-tip interlocking mechanism. This feature stops more than one drawer from opening at a time, significantly reducing the possibility of your furniture tipping forward and falling. For guidance on how to use this anti-tip interlocking mechanism, please refer to this helpful video we've prepared.

Remember, not all storage or shelving units are designed to handle the weight distribution of televisions. Ensure that you're investing in an item specifically marked as a media unit. If you're in the market for a safe and stylish option, explore our choices here.

Children and Safety with Finn & Form
Given the risk of furniture tipping, it's crucial never to allow children to stand, climb, or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves.
