The Eugénie is a chair to look at as much as to sit in. Its back curves into broad sides that sweep down to the floor, and open cut-outs above and below the seat let the light through, so it looks different from every side of the room.
At 27.6 inches square it fits where a big club chair won't: a bedroom corner, a spot by the window, or across from a sofa. There are no legs, only a low, rounded base, and the nubby cocoa-brown weave of chocolate, caramel and oatmeal yarns brings warmth to pale floors and walls.

A Nubby, Flecked Weave
Up close, the fabric is a dense, nubby weave of dark chocolate, warm caramel and pale oatmeal yarns, which together read as a soft cocoa brown. It covers every surface, from the top of the back to the floor.
Cut Out Around the Seat
An open gap runs between the curved back and the seat, and a narrow slot separates the seat from the base, opening into a window on each side. From behind, the back, the seat and the base read as three stacked, rounded forms.
Compact, With No Legs
