- Sunburst Headboard: Narrow wood strips fan up and out from a small half-disc near the bottom of the 55" (140 cm) headboard, above two rows of short horizontal planks laid like brickwork.
- Low Sunburst Footboard: At the foot, a 20" (51 cm) panel turns the pattern upside down: its strips fan down and out from a small half-disc at the top centre.
- Rustic Natural Wood: The strips keep their knots, small filled nail holes and faint saw marks under a rustic natural finish, in warm honey-tan tones that change from strip to strip.
- Clean White Frame: A slim white lacquer frame with a bevelled inner edge borders both panels, and its corner posts run straight down as square legs. The deep side rails are plain white.
- Queen or King: It comes 63" (160 cm) wide for a queen mattress or 79" (201 cm) wide for a king, both 85" (216 cm) long. Twelve solid pine slats carry the mattress, and the frame is rated for up to 551 lb (250 kg).

The story

Some beds fade into the room. The Hoche is meant to be looked at: a tall headboard laid in narrow strips of rustic wood that fan out like sunrays, framed in crisp white, with a low footboard that answers it from the other end.
The strips keep their knots, nail holes and saw marks under a natural finish, in warm honey tones that shift from strip to strip. Around them everything stays calm and white: a slim bevelled frame, plain deep side rails and square legs. It comes in queen and king sizes.

Sunburst Panels, Head and Foot
On the headboard, narrow knotty strips fan up from a small half-disc above two rows of short horizontal planks. On the low footboard, they fan down from a half-disc at the top centre.
White Frame, Square Legs
A slim white lacquer frame with a bevelled inner edge borders both panels. Its corner posts run straight down as four square legs, and plain, deep white side rails join head and foot.
A Bright Bed, Queen or King
At 85 inches long with a 55-inch headboard, the Hoche gives a pale bedroom a warm centre. It comes 63 inches wide for a queen or 79 inches wide for a king, and the frame is rated for up to 551 lb.

Planning tip. The queen is 63" W x 85" L (160 x 216 cm) and the king 79" W x 85" L (201 x 216 cm). Allow about 30" (75 cm) at both sides and the foot, so plan for a room of roughly 10.5 × 10 ft (about 3.1 × 2.9 m) for the queen, or 11.5 × 10 ft (about 3.5 × 2.9 m) for the king. The headboard rises 55" (140 cm), so check window sills and wall lights behind it; the footboard is 20" (51 cm) high.

A standard queen or king, depending on the size you choose. The queen's inner size is 60" x 81" (152 x 206 cm). Twelve solid pine slats carry the mattress, with support legs under the centre of the frame. Mattress and bedding are not included.
