The story
For a bedroom you want to keep simple and soft.
Some bedrooms are made for rest and little else: white linen, one good lamp, nothing on the floor. The Clémence suits a room like that. Its padded headboard is there to lean on with a book, and its low, solid base keeps the room calm and uncluttered.
Six wide vertical channels run up the headboard, and the same channels wrap the deep rails and the foot of the bed, all in nubby white bouclé. The base sits close to the floor with no legs showing, so the bed reads as one soft, tailored form.
The design
Three details that make the Clémence.
The Clémence repeats one idea, the soft vertical channel, from the headboard to the floor. These details show how.
Six Soft Channels
The headboard is divided into six wide vertical channels, each padded and covered in nubby white bouclé. They give the bed a calm, tailored rhythm and a soft place to lean back.
A Base That Meets the Floor
The same channels wrap the deep side rails and the foot of the bed, which sit close to the floor with no legs showing, so the bed reads as one solid, upholstered form.
A Quiet King Bed
At 82.3 inches wide and 91.5 inches long, the Clémence takes a king mattress on wooden slats over a center support rail. In white bouclé, it suits a calm room with linen bedding and warm wood.

Dimensions
Will it fit?
Planning tip. At 82.3" W x 91.5" L (209 x 232 cm), allow about 30" (75 cm) at the sides and foot, so roughly a 12 × 10 ft (3.6 × 3 m) room. The headboard is 40" (102 cm) high.
