The story

Coffee in the morning, a long lunch at the weekend, homework spread across the table in the afternoon. The Daumesnil is an easy chair to live with every day: light to pull out, comfortable to stay in, and calm to look at.
Its square back frame holds a panel of woven cane that lets the light through, and the padded seat is covered in beige linen-look fabric. The frame is solid rubberwood with white ash veneer in a soft sand wash, with slim brass-tone stretchers between the legs.

Woven Cane, Up Close
A handwoven cane panel fills the square back frame, adding natural texture and letting the light through, so a row of chairs never looks heavy.

Solid rubberwood with white ash veneer is finished in a soft sand wash that shows the grain. Slim brass-tone metal stretchers join the front and back legs on each side.

Planning tip. Each chair is 20" (51 cm) wide and 22.5" (57 cm) deep, with a 19.5" (50 cm) seat height for a standard dining table. Allow about 24" (61 cm) of table edge per chair, and leave about 36" (90 cm) between the table and the wall so chairs pull out easily.
