The headboard is charcoal-grey fabric, tufted in a neat grid and framed in walnut with softly rounded corners. The footboard repeats those corners and stands on two splayed, tapered legs, the most mid-century detail of all, and the side rails sit 11.5 inches off the floor so the bed never looks heavy.
