The meal is long over, the candles are low, and the conversation has only just got going. The Invalides is made for evenings like that, with arms to rest on and a padded seat and back that make it easy to stay a little longer.
Each chair is a study in contrast. A curved shell of burnished black ash veneer wraps the back and sweeps down into the arms, leaving an open gap above the seat, and inside it the seat and back are padded and covered in cream textured fabric. Tapered black legs keep it light around the table.

Cream Fabric, Black Grain
Up close, the cream textured fabric of the seat and inner back meets the burnished black ash veneer of the shell in a clean line, and the wood grain shows through the dark finish.
An Open, Wraparound Back
The back is one curved shell that wraps around and sweeps down into the arms, leaving an open gap above the seat. From behind, it reads as a single dark curve.
Made for the Table
A 19.25-inch seat height suits standard dining tables, and the arms make each chair comfortable for long dinners. Sold as a set of two; table not included.

Planning tip. Each chair is 24.5" (62 cm) wide and 21.25" (54 cm) deep, with a 19.25" (49 cm) seat height for a standard dining table. Allow about 26" to 28" (66 to 71 cm) of table edge per chair, and leave about 36" (90 cm) between the table edge and the wall so the chairs pull out easily.
