The story
For mornings that start slowly, sitting up against the headboard.
Some mornings begin with a book and a second cup of coffee, still in bed. The Palais has a tall wingback headboard for exactly that: it rises 52.4 inches (133 cm) and turns forward at the sides, so you can lean back with the pillows held in place.
Fine vertical fluting runs across the headboard and around the low rails, all in a light natural wood-grain finish. The rails reach right down to the floor at 11.8 inches (30 cm), which keeps the room calm and lets the texture do the work.
The design
Three details that make the Palais.
The Palais is a simple shape with one strong idea: texture. Three details show how it works.
Fine Vertical Fluting
Narrow vertical ribs run across the headboard and around every rail. In a natural wood-grain finish they catch the light from a window and give the bed a soft, tactile texture.
A Tall Wingback Headboard
The headboard rises 52.4 inches and turns forward at each side into shallow wings that frame the pillows, a comfortable backrest for reading in bed.
Low, Grounded and Simple
Low 11.8-inch rails reach right down to the floor. Slats on an iron frame carry a king mattress with no box spring, and the slat system is rated for up to 1,000 lb.

Dimensions
Will it fit?
Planning tip. At 79.9" W x 81.3" L (203 x 207 cm), allow about 30" (75 cm) at the sides and foot, so roughly a 12 × 10 ft room. The 52.4" (133 cm) headboard also needs clear wall, so check any window sill behind it.
