- No Box Spring Needed: Wooden slats on a center support rail carry the mattress directly, on a frame of pine and rubberwood.

The story
For slow mornings with the curtains half open.
Some mornings are for staying put: the curtains half open, a cup of coffee on the nightstand, a pillow folded behind your back. The Sidonie is made for that, with a tall, soft headboard to lean against and rounded edges all the way around.
Its headboard curves in a gentle wave along the top, and thick rails wrap the mattress with softly rounded corners, all in curly ivory-white bouclé over foam. Four tapered legs in natural wood lift the frame, and wooden slats carry the mattress, so no box spring is needed.

The headboard rises 24 inches above the rails and is 4.5 inches thick. Its top edge curves in a gentle wave and rounds down at each shoulder, with no tufting or buttons.

The queen is 67 inches wide and the king 82, both 89 inches long. Four tapered natural wood legs lift the 17-inch rails, and wooden slats carry the mattress with no box spring needed.

Planning tip. The queen is 67" W x 89" D (170 x 226 cm) and the king 82" W x 89" D (208 x 226 cm). Allow about 30" (75 cm) at the sides and foot: roughly an 11 × 10 ft room for the queen, 12 × 10 ft for the king. The headboard stands 42" (107 cm) high, so check the height of any window sill behind it.

The width and the weight. The queen is 67" (170 cm) wide, with 61.5" x 81" inside the rails, and weighs 114 lb; the king is 82" (208 cm) wide and weighs 132 lb. Both are 89" (226 cm) long and 42" (107 cm) high, with the same curved headboard and 17" (43 cm) rails.
Do I need a box spring?
No. Wooden slats on a center support rail carry the mattress directly. Use a queen or king mattress to match the size you choose. Mattress and bedding are not included.
What is it made of?
