The headboard is a padded arch, 4.33 inches thick, rising to 41 inches, and the rails curve over at the top, all in cream-white bouclé. Four tapered black iron legs lift the frame at the corners, a fine dark line under the soft cream, with 5.9 inches of space beneath.

The headboard and rails are wrapped in nubby cream-white bouclé over foam and polyester padding. It feels soft to lean against, and small spills wipe off with a damp cloth.

Planning tip. At 76.37" W x 91.73" D (194 x 233 cm), allow about 30" (75 cm) at the sides and foot, so roughly an 11.5 × 10 ft (3.5 × 3.1 m) room. A California king mattress is longer and narrower than a standard king, so make sure your mattress and fitted sheets are California king size.
