The story
For the slow Sunday that never leaves the sofa.
Some days are spent mostly lying down: a film in the afternoon, a book after it, a nap somewhere in between. The Assas is built for those days, with a seat 27.5 inches deep and cushions of foam, fibre and feather that give a little as you settle in.
Its frame is low and square, and the comfort comes from the cushions: three on the seat, three across the back and one standing tall inside each arm, all in sienna-brown top-grain leather with matching piping. Square rubberwood feet lift the frame just off the floor.

Piped Sienna Leather
Every cushion edge is finished with piping in the same sienna-brown top-grain leather, and the leather shows soft tonal variation from cushion to cushion.
A Low Frame, Deep Cushions
The square frame rises only a little above the seat, and a tall piped cushion stands inside each arm, so the cushions shape the sofa on three sides.

Planning tip. At 96" (244 cm) wide and 41.7" (106 cm) deep, the Assas needs at least 8.5 ft (2.6 m) of wall and a generous room. Allow about 30" (75 cm) of walkway around it and 16" to 18" (40 to 45 cm) to a coffee table. Its box measures 97.2" x 43" x 30" (247 x 109 x 76 cm), so measure doorways and tight turns first.

How deep is the seat?
27.5" (70 cm) deep and 67.6" (172 cm) wide, at 18.7" (47.5 cm) high. It seats three.
Can the cushions come off?
Yes. The seat and back cushions are removable and their covers can be taken off. The cushions are not reversible.
What are the cushions filled with?
The seat cushions are high-density foam with feather, over a webbed seat. The back cushions are fibre and feather.
Does it need assembly?
No. The frame is solid red meranti wood on rubberwood feet, and the sofa is rated for up to 795 lb (361 kg).
