The story
For a calm bedroom with nothing extra in it.
Some bedrooms work best with very little in them: a bed, a lamp, a window and a quiet wall. The Lourmel suits that kind of room. Its tall headboard is a plain, padded rectangle to lean against with a book, and its soft rails leave no hard edges at the foot of the bed.
Everything is covered in nubby white bouclé, from the 53-inch headboard to the foot rail, and the frame stands on tapered solid wood feet in a black finish. It takes a king mattress on a box spring or bunkie board.
The design
Three details that make the Lourmel.
The Lourmel keeps its shape simple and its materials soft. These three details show how.
Nubby White Bouclé
The headboard, side rails and foot rail are covered in white polyester bouclé with a soft, nubby texture, over foam padding.
Clean Lines on Black Feet
A rectangular headboard with softly rounded corners stands on two upholstered posts, and the padded rails rest on tapered solid wood feet in a black finish, 3.25 inches high.
A Simple King Bed
At 82 inches wide, 83 inches long and 53 inches high, the Lourmel takes a king mattress on a box spring or bunkie board (not included). The frame holds up to 750 lb.

Dimensions
Will it fit?
Planning tip. At 82" W x 83" D (208 x 211 cm), allow about 30" (75 cm) at the sides and foot, so roughly a 12 × 9.5 ft (3.6 × 2.9 m) room. The headboard stands 53" (135 cm) high, so check the height of any window sill behind it. A box spring or bunkie board raises the mattress, so measure the finished height before choosing nightstands.
