Six around a table, dishes passed hand to hand, the talk moving from one side to the other. The Rambuteau is round, so nobody is stuck at the end, and its single pedestal leaves room for knees and chairs all the way around.
The 59.75-inch top has a thick, softly rounded edge and a fine inset ring near the rim, in ash veneer with a burnished black finish that lets the grain show. Below it, a squared pedestal open through the middle stands on a slim recessed plinth.

The pedestal is a squared frame open through the middle, with rounded lower corners, set on a slim recessed plinth. It carries the top from the center and leaves the edge free of legs.
